The A+ syllabus is broken into 2 core areas covering Hardware and Software configuration of PCs and there are two associated examinations that need to be passed in order to attain the A+ Certificate.

A+ Hardware component

Broadly speaking the A+ hardware component covers the full spectrum of components making up a PC and their configuration and background. The course goes under the bonnet of a typical PC to help learn how it works, how it can be configured and upgraded and how to fix them when something goes wrong. From a basic understanding of PC hardware the course will cover details of how the PC architecture was designed and how to configure and setup devices.

A+ Software component
